Getting the Most Out of Valentine's Day on Cam

Getting the Most Out of Valentine's Day on Cam

Valentine’s Day is a holiday to celebrate love. That could be love for a special partner, for your friends, for your fans or yourself. However, Valentine’s Day can also be a bittersweet time for some, which makes it a great opportunity for cam models to celebrate the holiday with those who might be alone.

My name is AubriLee and I have been camming on Chaturbate since 2014. Over the years, I have built an amazing community of moderators, fans and friends online. I have been able to build a cam room where people can escape the mental and emotional stressors of the world and just be themselves.

You are giving people the opportunity to feel loved on a holiday they might not otherwise get the chance to celebrate at all.

Valentine’s Day is no different. After seven years of celebrating the holiday with my fans on cam, making them feel loved when they might not have had the chance to be, I’ve found some great ways to maximize the holiday.

SELLING VALENTINE’S DAY DECOR

This is a little bit of a given, but selling holiday decor is a must for Valentine’s Day. I have a “Got My Back” wall that I put up each month, where users can tip 1,000 tokens to have their name on it. For February, they get their own personalized heart in my cam room that stays up all month. They get to pick the color and size of their heart and where it goes on my wall. This is just one idea, but creating Valentine’s Day decor that users can put their names on and purchase is a great way to make passive income from your room without any additional performing.

I also paint or draw holiday decor with fans during my shows so they can be part of the process of decorating my room. This not only gives me activities to do during my show but also helps viewers feel like it’s their room as well as mine.

PLAYING THEMED GAMES

Games are essential for engaging with fans, no matter the holiday. I love to use physical games and I have a large Jenga set that is taller than me, as well as Connect Four, that I like to use on cam. I’ll make the games Valentine-themed or make the prizes holiday-themed. There are a ton of apps and bots you can use for games but nothing beats having a physical game that you can touch and everyone can see.

It makes a great conversation starter and when people join your room, they can easily join in and play along with you. It’s important in camming to always be having fun and games are an easy way to get your audience involved. Remember: you are creating a place for fans to escape the stressors and judgment of the outside world and just be themselves. Make sure your room is a fun space for them to do just that.

BAKING BRINGS HAPPINESS

Baking on cam is a great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your fans. Not only can you get sexy while you’re baking and with your baked goods, but it’s a great way to get the conversation going in your room. I did an EasyBake oven show on Valentine’s Day and made tiny little heart-shaped cookies for my fans. Another year, I baked a heart-shaped cake and sat on it at the end of the show.

It’s important to remember that your cam shows are just as much your fans’ show as they are yours. I let them take the show where they want it to go and give them space to be a part of it. I’m always flexible and have a framework for what I might want to do during a show, but in the end, I let my audience direct the show. I might make a plan to bake but let my fans choose what it will be, how I decorate it or what we might do with the final product.

LINGERIE PACKAGES

Lingerie packages during Valentine’s season are a great way to make passive income and give your fans a little piece of you. When they physically have something of yours, they feel like they have a part of you. I’ll sell my used panties in red, pink and other Valentine’s colors in packages for fans.

During the live Valentine’s Day show, I’ll also wear fun Valentine’s Day surprises. I’ll have heart-shaped lingerie on under my clothing, heart-shaped pasties, a heart-shaped butt plug in or I might even shave my pubic hair in a heart. Even if you don’t have a big Valentine’s Day show planned or don’t want to invest in all-new lingerie, just having heart pasties can make your outfit fun and holiday-themed.

PROMOTING YOUR SHOW

If you are planning a big Valentine’s Day show, it’s important to give your fans at least three to four weeks’ notice so they can plan to be available and save tokens for the show. If you are doing an unboxing or opening gifts, this also gives them enough time to buy gifts and ship them to you. I’ll switch up my pillows, start putting hearts up on my walls and change up the decor a few weeks ahead of time so every time I’m on cam, my fans are reminded that my show is coming up.

I’ll also post about the show once a week across social media and mention it every time I’m on cam so they know it’s coming. Consistency is also hugely important; since my fans know I always do something fun for Valentine’s Day, they start asking me about it and expect a show every year.

For me, hosting a Valentine’s Day show is about promoting love, peace and release and creating that place my fans can escape to and just focus on my show. Camming can be stressful and you can get lost in the planning, promoting, lights, camera and technical aspects, but remember: you should always be having fun. It’s not all about what you are getting, but also what you are giving. You are giving people the opportunity to feel loved on a holiday they might not otherwise get the chance to celebrate at all. And when you start to make other people feel loved, you will start to feel the love as well.
